Biography

Designs lighting for theatre and opera primarily.

Recent credits include Stuff Happens at ACT theatre in Seattle, Luisa Fernanda and Merry Widow at LA Opera, and Mabou Mines' Dollhouse at the Edinburgh Festival.

Other New York credits include: the Broadway revival of The Constant Wife at the American Airlines Theatre, Ibsen=Fosse/Oslo Elsewhere Festival, 59E59; The Blue Door, The Busy World is Hushed , Playwrights Horizons; Jump/Cut, Women’s Project; Red Beads, Mabou Mines – Skirball Center for the Performing Arts; Oedipus at Palm Springs, New York Theatre Workshop; Afterbirth: Kathy and Mo’s Greatest Hits, Second Stage; The Triangle Factory Fire Project, TACT; Mabou Mines’ Dollhouse, St. Ann’s; Architecture of Loss, New York Theatre Workshop.

She designed the lighting for Violet Fire, a new opera about Nicola Tesla, which premiered at the Belgrade National Theatre in Serbia, and had it’s US premiere at the Next Wave Festival at BAM in October 2006. Mabou Mines’ Dollhouse continues to tour festivals in Paris, Brisbane, Stuttgart and Madrid as well as in the US.

She has designed lighting at many regional theaters throughout the country including ACT Theatre, Alley Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Asolo Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, GeVa Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage, Portland Stage Company, Virginia Stage Company, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Mark Taper Forum, Pioneer Theatre, Playmakers Repertory Company, LA Opera, Philadelphia Orchestra.
