Biography
Set designer in New York City. On Broadway: Spring Awakening, The Eugene O’Neill Theatre; The Green Bird, directed by Julie Taymor. Off Broadway highlights: Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare in the Park; Flesh And Blood, Nocturne, First Love, at New York Theatre Workshop; Mr. Fox, (written and starring Bill Irwin), Burn This (starring Ed Norton, Catherine Keener and Dallas Roberts), Signature Theatre; Debbie Does Dallas, Jane Street Theatre; True Love, The Zipper Theatre; and People Be Heard, Playwright's Horizons.
She has designed operas for the Houston Grand Opera and New York City Opera as well as The Minnesota and Denver Opera Companies.
Regionally she has designed at The American Repertory Theatre, The McCarter, The Wilma, The Shakespeare Theatre, South Coast Rep, The Guthrie, Hartford Stage, Yale Repertory Theatre, Seattle Rep, and others.
She designed a music video for Ben Folds Five.
In addition to teaching at NYU, she is a Lecturer at Princeton University.
