Biography
Chris is the principal at Chris Muller Design, which creates museum exhibits and experiences. Recent projects include Saving Lives: Helicopters! at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum of Salt Lake City; Unrestricted Warfare: the Last Mission of the U.S.S. Tang for the National World War II Museum, New Orleans. As an exhibition designer, exhibits for the Museum for African Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Yale University Art Gallery, the Jewish Museum, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, the Children’s Museum of the East End, the Creative Discovery Museum (Chattanooga, TN), the Miami Children’s Museum, the American Craft Museum. He was the lead designer for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (redux), the National Children’s Museum (Washington D.C.), the Muhammad Ali Center, the National Track and Field Hall of Fame, and the College Basketball Experience and Hall of Fame.
Corporate Clients have included Sapphire Software, Time/Warner, Clinique, Sony.
Theater: Alvin Ailey Dance Company, the Juilliard Opera, the Measured Breaths Opera Company, the Atlantic Stage Company, Shapiro and Smith Dance, East Coast Artists, the Welsh National Dance Company, the Contemporary Legends Theater of Taiwan, Laurie Anderson’s multimedia world tour Scenes from the Nerve Bible.
Storyboard artist for film and television. Illustrations for children’s books and many publications.
