Biography
Workroom supervisor/draper for Parsons-Meares, Ltd., for eight years, on such productions as Cats, Starlight Express, Phantom of the Opera, Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage, Lend Me a Tenor, Guys and Dolls, Two Shakespearean Actors, Song and Dance, A Streetcar Named Desire, Othello, and various ballets for the Joffrey Ballet and the Feld Ballet. Draper for Ray Diffen Stage Clothes and Parsons-Meares, Ltd., both in New York City, and the Alliance Theatre Company, Atlanta. Designed costumes for Pan Asian Repertory Company productions of Lucky Come Hawaii, Letters to a Student Revolutionary, and Friends. Designed dance costumes for Smith and Salsberg, Atlanta Contemporary Dance Company, and Lee Harper and Dancers. Instructor/costume shop supervisor in the drama department at the University of Georgia. Assistant to the costume designer for Twilight of the Golds, Booth Theatre, New York City. Costume supervisor for the Mexican production of Cats, Mexico City. Taught and supervised the building of new costumes for La Bella Durmiente (Sleeping Beauty) for the Compania Nacional de Danza, Mexico City. Draper at the Santa Fe Opera for Abduction from the Seraglio, Blond Eckbert, Salome, The Rake’s Progress, Daphne, Ariadne auf Naxos, Dialogues of the Carmelites, The Egyptian Helen, and Wozzeck; at Seattle Opera for Tristan und Isolde. Costumed the bicentennial reenactment of the Hamilton/Burr duel in Weehawken, NJ, held as part of a symposium in July, 2004.
